Alice and the Pirates ❀ Check Vest set

The matching set I've ordered off of Wunderwelt arrived a few days ago. 

It fits really nicely, and the fabric has a nice thickness to it. The vest is also lined with a more satin-y material. I don't remember if the shorts were lined because I wasn't thinking about it too hard.

  The color is the gray as listed. It's a shade of gray that's susceptible to room lighting, so it can look really different depending on where you are. You can really see the tone difference with the flash vs the lamp light. Also please ignore my messy room. 

I paired it with a blouse from target and some corset patterned socks from spirit halloween.

Miraculous Wunderwelt Pull

  I just bought this set from Wunderwelt and it might be my greatest J-fashion pull yet. 

I was mainly trying to hunt down a proper vest so I could make better ouji coordinates, when I saw the vest listing.

 It was sooo cute, so I opened up the page in a different tab and keep scrolling. That's when I saw the shorts meant to go with it, and I realized I could get a matching set!

Both the pants and vest were each listed for about $45 USD (Wunderwelt calculates usd prices from the yen price listed.) and the original yen prices for the vest and pants upon release in 2013 were: ¥15,540.00 and ¥14,490.00 respectively. $174 and $162 USD according to a 2014 blog post by BtSSB San Francisco.

I caught a MASSIVE deal!

The A/P Check set comes in brown and gray colorways according to lolibrary ♕ ♛ and the Wunderwelt listing said they had the grey one, but the pictures looked a bit more like the brown colorway. So I'll just have to see when it arrives in the mail!

Either way, I can't wait to coordinate this set!

The material doesn't look thin, so it should be easy wear and stay warm this coming winter. Although I won't have to worry about it getting too cold in my area because of climate change. 💀💀💀

Eastern State Penitentiary Halloween Haunt

I'm behind my posting schedule again. Making Halloween posts in the 2nd week of November. So far, I've been busy doing nothing, but I'll get back into the swing of writing and posting.

  My family and I went to Halloween Nights at eastern state again this year, We've been there a few times before in October and it's always fun. They moved some stuff around and there were a few new things they added in this year. I don't have any pics from inside the haunts because they aren't allowed. I also got a really good Shirley Temple from the bloodline lounge that I forgot to take a picture of. The grenadine syrup came in a little syringe, and I got to "inject" it in myself. 

Walking and trying to take selfies just doesn't work...

Ouji Dream Items

 Tokyo Bopper no.923 ribbon RHS in ivory

  These shoes were commonly seen in cult party kei coordinates. Tokyo Bopper makes their shoes in a sneaker style which make their platforms lighter and easier to walk in. I'm still not used to regular platforms, so these are really appealing to me.

Atelier Boz Rolando Jacket, Preferably black

  One of the most and iconic pieces from Atelier Boz, and a popular outer wear choice for ouji and aristocrat styles. It has a sleek and cool silhouette, especially if you layer it over something with a little structure so the tail flares out a little.

I eventually want to start collecting more Boz pieces in general as I build my J-fashion collection.

  I need a cape BAD. I'm sick of throwing-off my good outfits because its cold outside and I need an outer wear. All my problems would be gone if I could just layer a thermal and throw on a cape. PLEASE. Plus, they're sooo cuuuuuuuteee omggggggggg. PleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePlease.

Sunday Oct 27th Franklin Institute, then Prince Tea House

Museum Fun ❀🙧

  I did so much running around on Sunday, I'm still tired. My cousin and her kids were visiting for Halloween weekend so we were out doing family things for like three days. One of the last things was visiting the franklin institute!

They were doing a few Halloween specific activities (mainly for kids) but it was fun and the usual science exhibits were really interesting.

One really cool exhibit, Amazing Machine, was about complex machines and showed the inside of an antique singer sewing machine! Even cooler, the had Maillardet's automaton, the Draughtsman-Writer! Σ(°ロ°)!!

It originally had an outfit on, but it's really old and has been through a fire, so now the brass body frame is exposed. They have the automaton displayed with the clockwork exposed from the back (visible through glass).

Purple Hair for Halloween

I dyed my hair ghostly purple for Halloween!

I usually DIY my own hair color at home, and this time I wanted to try a different vivid color than the hot pink/black I had for the past year or so. I've been meaning to do this earlier in the month, but I bleached my head and then decided to rock the blonde for half the month. ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )✮⋆˙

To achieve this look, I diluted periwinkle Adore semi permanent hair dye, with Jenoris purple shampoo and then left it in my head for like 20ish minutes with a cap on.

If you don't know, (which you don't because I haven't posted about it yet) I do a lot of puttering around with Philly J-Fashion. So I can occasionally be seen being cool and fashionable when I'm not sitting in my cave. 

Which is super fun and cool, but I often forget to post about it. Which technically isn't necessary, but I'm trying to run a blog so wtf.

I made a post and a crusty video about the first convention I went to, and forgot to post anything decent about it here.

Philly J-Fashion held a panel there, so instead of attempting to cosplay, I put together (heavily planned) this cult party, visual kei and ouji inspired coordinate. Idk why, but I was randomly super into cult party kei at the time. Although I still do find it really cute and underrated so I think I'll keep slowly collecting more cult party type stuff.
